Palomar Observatory (Slideshow)

J and I took my kiddos out to the Palomar Observatory on Sunday. StigKidC's brain soaked in every bit of information as he grilled the docent for about an hour. As we were leaving the docent asked him what the qualifications are for planets. StigKidC thought about it for a second and replied that he didn't know... YET, that he'd soon be learning about planets but is only on rocks and minerals. The docent smiled down at him and replied that learning about our earth is a good start to understanding the rest of our solar system. Below are my photos of our daycation.
